The base of the unit is constructed with metal to give it weight and support. The mixer head also tilts back, which makes clean up easier than with other brands. The Ultra mixer also comes with a large stainless steel mixing bowl which fastens securely to the unit.

Three great attachments also come standard with these mixers. Each attachment is good for different ways in preparing food, and all are very beneficial. The wire whip attachment can be used for preparing eggs, mashed potatoes, creams, and other various foods. The dough hook is mainly used for kneading dough. I use this a lot, as I tend to make a lot of pot pies and breads. It gets the crusts to my pies just right and I am able to knead a very large amount at a time. The mixer comes with a cool recipe book that gives some pretty easy directions for making bread and using the dough hook.
The last attachment is a coated flat beater which is mainly used for cakes, cookies, and other baking goods. I also use this attachment for making pancakes when I am making breakfast for my family and each time it gets all of the clumps out of the batter. There are a ton of additional accessories available for the KitchenAid mixer. You can make your own fresh pasta, grind your own food, stuff breads, and even juice citrus fruits.
When I need to prepare hearty meals for my family, this mixer cuts my cooking preparation time in half. I absolutely love it!
